The Celestron Luminos 2″ 2.5x Barlow Lens is a nice, 4-element, multi-coated Barlow lens. This is a quality built product with a solid fit and finish. This Barlow lens comes with a 1.25″ adapter so you can use 1.25″ eyepieces or 2″ eyepieces with it, and utilizes brass compression rings, so that eyepieces or accessories aren’t marred with use.
This Barlow lens works very well for planetary imaging. The multi-coatings keep the image bright, and the apochromatic design helps keeps the image well color-corrected.
Another great thing about this Barlow lens is its price. Most 2″, multi-coated Barlow lenses are very expensive. The Celestron Luminos 2″ 2.5x Barlow lens rivals the quality of others while being a fraction of their price.

Great video Slymin. I need to get one of those
I’ve been waiting for this review! I have the same Barlow, but I want to know if I have the coincidence on some things.
Great video! Helped a lot
I sold my SCT 8 a few month ago. Still miss it. It was a mistake selling it.
Hi mate, am having trouble getting a focus hooking up my 5D directly to the 8se. Can 2″ eyepieces be installed in front of the camera?
First.
I have been interested in this Barlow and glad you review it. There are little information about this one, and in many forums always point you to televue, I don’t doubt the quality of this one’s, but the price and accessibility are forbidden for me.
