lol sorry…I didn’t mean the video,i meant your comment about e-mailing you pics.
the remote that came with a used one at a thrift store had battery damage to the unit. Any ideas where to find another one for this 77-9930 telescope.
Kevin, Do you know the model number of the Bushnell Telescope you are using?
your welcome and thanks
Thanks for the info! Looks cold in North Bay….I’m new to the telescope world, have a Bushnell Voyager 700×76. What brand name would you recommend for a real good 1.25 eyepiece & where can they be purchased. Thanks
Kevin, good tips! I just got Jason 518s model, I believe is similar to yours and was wondering if you can verify few items for me. Can I send you pics to this email? email@example.com? Thanks
its hard to set it up i dont know how
i been looking for purchase a telescope for my 12 yr old son. i don’t know anything about them at all. im looking for some thing around the 100.00 to 179.00 range. but im looking for something that he an i can actually see planets in our solar system with some clarity. we are very invested in home pc’s so i was thinking also something that may connect to our pc that maybe tells us what we r actually looking at or images that we can save on the pc. if that is how they work or what they are able to do. i may be asking for to much considering the price im looking to spend, i just don’t know enough about them. i watched your video and figure all i can do is ask. thank you for taking the time to read me msg.
As much as I look up different guides on how to use one I still can’t figure it out. It’s so frustrating because I spent at least two hours trying to find something.
@KevinMillard68 Ok, 🙂 Just realize that you will only see color in a very few stars and Mars. From there, everything else will be gray or white in color. As for crisp images yeah, having a decent eye piece will help …to a degree.I only mentioned a different mount for the fact that you were talking about astrophotography. The mount you have will be limited to very short exposure imaging and subject to extreme vibration.I am only speaking as one astronomer to another is all, and trying to help!.
@bongo69er the mount is not a problem on this telescope , the eyepeices just are not very good quaility, pretty much any scope will be sbject to vibrations no matter how good your mount is , the eye peice quaility is extreamly importante for proper view and colors etc. i may still be a bit new to this but i have done tons of home work on these and many other telescopes so iam getting to know tons more now then i use to ..
what scope do you have now?
My grandpa gave me this on his death bed still can’t find the bolt to hold it together
@BigDoubleD66 galde to have been of help
I have a 114/900mm as well! Its been hibernating under the house (storeroom) for many years!
I recently wanted to get to know more about it… glad I did! I can’t look back.
Now I can’t believe I left it there for so long!
Good quality scope too!
ok part 2 of set up once you have the target centred day time here then set the finder to center on the same target recheck the telescope make sure it didnt move if so re align then recenter in the finder again ,, and youll be good you wont get it 100% but you get her close enough make sure your legs are level to for the surface your on this wil affect things and set up..and use the 20MM eye peice for your set up as it will be the best one for this..any other questions feel free to ask ..
Nice, I just got a telescope. First one I have ever owned. It’s still in the box because I am moving house next week.
Can’t wait to play with it (-:
