Cheeky Monkees says:

I DISAGREE. I own several of these scopes (yes I have a shopping problem when it comes to telescopes). For the most part I agree from a price point perspective. HOWEVER, My MAJOR ISSUE is including the 12 inch MEADE in this list. It’s my understanding that quality control at Meade is lacking at this point in time. One of my club members purchased one and had PROBLEMS with the optics as well as the tracking motor. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS DISMAL AT MEADE. It took months just to get the attention required to get an attempt at correcting the problem on a $12,000 telescope. Really Meade? In addition it took multiple unsuccessful attempts by Meade, including replacing the scope for my pal to finally cut Meade loose. The fiasco ended with the Meade being replaced by a Celestron.

Sad. I’m a huge fan of the product Meade produced in decades past.

I’m a huge Vixen fan. Thank you for including at least ONE OF THEIR scopes. In addition, I’m surprised you couldn’t find smaller company contributions.
